Over the past few weeks, children in Class 3 have been learning the key parts of our digestive system and their functions as part of our Science unit.
Today, the children had great fun, squashing, squeezing and scrunching food in food bags. Why? Well, the food bags were acting as our stomachs. They children then added either coke, vinegar or lemon juice to act as stomach acid. They then got to work 'pummelling' the food, just like our stomach does.
We are leaving it 24-48 hours (the amount of time food spends in our stomachs) to see the affects acid has on food!
The children thoroughly enjoyed today's Science lesson and have learnt so much about their digestive system.Â
