Our topic work this week focused on the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb by Howard Carter. Â To get into the mood we had our own tomb in the classroom! Â This was full of strange shapes and textures, and it was pretty dark in there too. Â Each child had 15 seconds to explore the tomb and then discuss what they had discovered. Â And what a funny list of things it turned out to be!
On Thursday, we practised ourreasoning skills in Maths. Â Year 6 had to work out how TWO + TWO could = FOUR. Â Simple enough? Â Well not quite... Â You can find the problem here:

Years 4 and 5 meanwhile were working on a dominoes problem. Â How can you work out which tiles are missing from a set? Â Does the number of spots help? Â It turns out it does...

We saw lots of determination and plenty of methods of solving the problems. Â Miss Kemp was really pleased with Year 6's hard work. Â Well done everyone!
