Hi everyone,
This week in Class 2 we are focussing on addition and subtraction.
Year 2 are learning to add and take away tens from any 2-digit number, for example 79 - 10 or 54 + 20
Year 3 are learning a formal written method of addition to add 2 3-digit numbers together called 'Addition Partition'
Year 4 are learning a formal written method of addition to add 2 4-digit numbers together called 'Addition Partition'
Alongside using many resources, like Base 10 and place value counters, we are also learning how to record our number sentences. Year 3 and 4 are learning how to record a formal written method.
