PSHE

Our PSHE curriculum, delivered through the Kapow Primary programme, helps pupils develop the understanding and life skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond. It provides a broad and balanced approach to personal development, supporting children in becoming confident, resilient, and responsible individuals.

Across the school, pupils explore a wide range of topics including health and wellbeing, safety, relationships, and living in the wider world. Lessons are carefully structured to build knowledge over time, encouraging children to reflect on their own experiences, manage their emotions, and develop positive attitudes towards themselves and others.

Kapow’s engaging and inclusive approach creates a supportive environment where pupils feel safe to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another. Through discussion, reflection, and practical activities, children are equipped with the skills to make informed choices, understand their responsibilities, and contribute positively to their communities.

We value the role of families in supporting children’s personal development and aim to keep parents and carers informed about the learning taking place, so these important themes can be reinforced at home.
