Physical Education
Our Physical Education curriculum is delivered through the Get Set 4 PE programme, providing a structured and engaging approach to developing pupils’ physical skills, knowledge, and confidence.
Through a wide range of activities, including games, gymnastics, dance, athletics, and outdoor learning, pupils are given opportunities to build fundamental movement skills as well as teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. Lessons are carefully planned to ensure progression across year groups, enabling children to develop competence and enjoyment in a variety of physical activities.
Get Set 4 PE promotes an inclusive environment where all pupils are encouraged to participate, challenge themselves, and experience success. Children learn the importance of leading active and healthy lifestyles, understanding how physical activity contributes to both their physical and mental wellbeing.
We also provide opportunities for pupils to take part in competitive sport and extra-curricular activities, helping to foster a lifelong love of being active and working as part of a team.

Daily mile
Every child in school takes part in the Daily Mile as we seek to give our children their 60 minutes of daily activity.
Children in classes 2 and 3 go swimming with the school every year, as we feel that this is not just important from a health and activity standpoint but is also an important life skill. Â
