History
At Woore Primary and Nursery School we know that our children love learning about the past. We ensure we do this, not only through our Kapow curriculum, but through hands-on educational experiences both within and out of school. As well as giving History its place in our weekly timetables we also endeavour to provide our children with the opportunity to visit historical sites and museums, and to handle artefacts from different periods. The children are asked to create homework projects based on their current topic of study and we are always amazed at the effort, enthusiasm and time the children put into this.

We ensure that children are also developing their sense of chronology as they move through the school. Our classes use a two year rolling programme to ensure that they are taught the required units of work and are ready to move to the next stage of their study. Â
Trips and Visits
Englesea Brook Museum and Chapel
Class 2 had an amazing time at Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum! They even tried their hand at a little sewing and were fortunate to have the chance to play with a range of Victorian toys (after they had done all of their lessons in the chapel)!
