Science is a hoot! 2018

Yesterday we spent our science lesson being paleoscatologists (experts in dinosaur poo!).  We talked about how useful poo is as a source of evidence that scientists can use to further explore the lives of dinosaurs.  Of course, dino poo is hard to come by (though you can get on it eBay!) and so instead, we used owl pellets.

Now, owl pellets are not poo, but regurgitations.  They still allow us to explore a creature's diet and give great clues to their existence.  By searching (really thoroughly - oh, we were thorough!), we discovered the remains of voles, mice, rats, all sorts.
